Connect calendar and booking workflows
Calendar connection lets your AI receptionist offer accurate appointment times and reduce back-and-forth. A bad calendar setup can create double-booking or missed appointments, so test it carefully.
Supported calendar paths
BizRnR can support common calendar systems such as Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and iCal/CalDAV-style calendars depending on plan and account configuration. Enterprise accounts can request managed rollout for more complex scheduling environments.
Connect a calendar
Open Dashboard -> Settings or Dashboard -> Scheduling if your account includes the scheduling surface. Choose the calendar provider and complete the OAuth or connection steps. Use an account that has permission to read availability and create events.
Booking rules
Define:
- Appointment types.
- Default duration.
- Buffer time before and after appointments.
- Business hours.
- Location or meeting method.
- Staff member or calendar owner.
- What counts as urgent.
Test booking
Run a test call and ask for an appointment. Confirm that the AI offers valid times, books the event on the correct calendar, and sends the expected notification. Then cancel or delete the test event.
Avoid double-booking
Double-booking usually means one of these is wrong:
- The AI is reading the wrong calendar.
- Busy/free visibility is not shared.
- Buffer rules are too short.
- Multiple staff members use separate calendars without routing rules.
- A connected calendar token expired.
When to contact support
Contact support if booking works in one channel but not another, calendar events appear on the wrong calendar, timezones are wrong, or OAuth reconnects repeatedly fail. Include provider, calendar owner email, test call time, and expected appointment time.
